The Port’s container terminals feature the largest cranes in the world, using the latest technology, with a span of 25 containers and a capacity of 65 tons. These cranes are optimized to service even the largest vessels planned.

The port will be a brand-new hub for importing vehicles and machinery and other roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) cargo.

The new RO/RO & vehicle–machinery terminal will featured the following advantages:

The bulk cargo berths will be connected to the Processes and Services Zone (PSZ) via convey belts and pipe lines. The facility will be ideal for industries importing raw material and requiring transfer by automated means (i.e. convey belts and pipe lines). The terminal will be served by a dedicated South Service Gate.

King Abdullah Port will handle general and project cargo through its various facilities. The cargo will be discharged by quay cranes and geared vessels. The general cargo terminal will be able to discharge palletized and non-palletized cargos in addition to cargos requiring special lifting capabilities.
